Ingredients
- 1 cup butter softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 2/3 cup flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup chopped candy cherries
Instructions
In large bowl beat butter and sugar together. Add egg and vanilla. Add flour, sugar and salt. Add cherries. Divide in 8 inch thirds and wrap in wax paper. Refrigerate for minimum 3 hours. Can be made 3 days in fridge of 3 weeks in freezer. Cut into 1/4 inch slices, place on cookie sheet baking at 375°F for 10-12 minutes. Cool completely.
