Soften butter and work in sugar. With hands work in flour until it is not sticky. The plus means that a little more might be needed. Roll on a 9 x 13" pan. Sprinkle sugar on top. Bake at 300°F. Test by touching centre with finger. Turn off oven and leave pan inside for 10-15 minutes. Cut in squares.
