Ingredients
- 1 /2 cup softened butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 lb. sliced gumdrops
- 1 cup raisins (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and beat. Stir in vanilla. In another bowl combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk; fold in gumdrops and raisins. Pour mixture into greased loaf pan and bake for 1 to 1 1/2 hours. Cool for 20 minutes and remove to finish cooling on wire rack.
