Ingredients
- CAKE:
- 1 cup chopped pecans/walnuts
- 1 18 1/2 g pkg yellow cake mix
- 1 3 3/4 g pkg instant vanilla pudding mix
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup oil
- 1/2 cup rum
- 1/2 cup cold water
- GLAZE:
- 1/4 lb. butter
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup rum
Instructions
CAKE: Preheat Oven 325°F. Grease and flour tube pan. Sprinkle nuts over bottom. Mix all cake ingredients together. Pour batter over nuts in pan. Bake 1 hour. Set on rack to cool. Invert onto serving plate. Prick top. GLAZE: Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in water and sugar. Boil for 5 minutes. Stir in rum. Top with fresh cream. FINISHING: Drizzle and brush glaze evenly over top and sides.
