Ingredients
- BASE:
- 2 squares melted semisweet chocolate (3 Oz)
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 cups graham wafer crumbs
- 1 cup coconut (optional)
- 1/2 cup walnuts (optional)
- FILLING:
- 1/4 cup soft butter
- Milk
- 2 tbsp. custard powder
- 2 cups icing sugar
- GLAZE:
- 4 squares semisweet chocolate (5 Oz)
- 1 tbsp. butter
Instructions
BASE: Combine melted chocolate, butter, sugar, vanilla and egg. Mix well. Add graham wafer crumbs, coconut and walnuts. Mix well. Press into 9 x 9" pan. Chill. Freezing between each layer makes easier to spread next layer. FILLING: Combine butter, milk and custard powder. Blend in icing sugar. Add more milk to make easy to spread. Spread over base. Chill 15 minutes. GLAZE: Partially melt chocolate with butter. Remove from heat. Stir until melted. Spread over custard layer (make sure chocolate is not hot). Chill and store in refrigerator.
