The clear pill is not a reward, there is no trophy. It is not a badge. It is a vision. Integral vision. Integral vision in seeing all the stages before, not as a hierarchy, but marks on a journey. One should not despise the person stepping onto the trail for the first time any more than the one who lives on the trail. The clear pill represents the mindset of hope still, but with more than 2 feet of path in front of them. There is a goal, a mountain, a lake, something to aim towards. A hill worth dying on. A purpose beyond the grief, a reason the grief gave you to make you stronger. You do not win if you get the clear pill, like one that swam across a swift river, you are wet, cold, tired, and drained, but you made it across, only to see others struggling behind you. You see this, and you reach back, either diving in to help an individual or building tools to make a net to catch more.
It is a call to service, not martyrdom. Love through understanding. Saying "that's me! Let's ease their journey."
These are the ones who sees all of the mess of today as grief, the modern ideologies as secularized religions through the pills, and treat them as such. These are the ones that seek the truth and goodness, even when inconvenient. Rather than seeing everything reductionistically, you see that the smaller you zoom in, the same patterns appear. The patterns form meaning and emerge into something greater than themselves. Looking back, you see that blue sees institutions stabilizing society, but are easily gaslit by the people that protect them. You see red pills as those that see power corrupting, but overreacts into bitterness and hierarchy worship, or misogyny. You see black as the realization that collapse is real, but that despair is not wisdom, it is an all consuming exit. The other pills hint as possibilities of what can come, spirit mattering, protective humour, family ties, creation, and meaning restored, but can easily still drift into irony, spiritual bypassing of reality, overprotection, production for the sake of feeling something, and corruption of meaning. You see white as hope restored and sacred, but that it can become naive optimism if not rooted.
And that is where you stand, rooted, with a sight of what may come. You are no longer just come what may, but actively guiding the ship that is your life. You see the need for rhythm, humility and service as one, the need to work together to build better. You no longer want to own anyone on the internet, you are more curious, less reactive, you see despair and possibility, entangled, as 2 supporting trees, you ask not how to win, but what sustains life.
You see that creation is beauty. Take the time to look at the coffee and cream mixing — that is chaos, life and creation all in one.
Finally, you see the mantra of the clear pills
Plan for the worst. Hope for the best.
Prepare with care. Act in love.
Rest when tired. Build when able.
The Light is not gone. It’s just beneath the ash.
This is the clear pill, not an answer, not a fix, but a way to see and to walk on, with eyes open.
